About
Can farm fresh get much tastier? For over forty years, the family-owned D. Dutchmen Dairy in Sicamous has produced artisan ice cream, milk and cheese to great fanfare including the title of B.C.’s Best Ice Cream by the Vancouver Sun in 2004. The milk from the cows is processed on site and products are still made the old-fashioned way, creating a legacy of preservation of artisanal production methods.
Guests are most welcome to visit the farm animals all the while enjoying one of 60 varieties of homemade ice cream. Newly added, Tractor Town is a seating area of small and big tractors alike, providing picture perfect moments for your family vacation.
Over the decades, hundreds of thousands of visitors from across the country and around the world have made the delicious detour just off the Trans-Canada Highway, enjoying a cone and a visit then taking home a selection of artisan cheese or glass-bottled milk. It’s a popular spot, in fact, you might say it’s the happiest line-up in town, a definite must ‘Shuswap family fun’ stop.

About Shuswap
A relatively undiscovered food lovers’ paradise awaits. Welcome to the Shuswap in BC’s Interior.
Tucked slightly north of the Okanagan, east of the Thompson, and south of the Columbia in British Columbia’s interior, the region offers a four season climate, warmer than its northern neighbours’ winters and more temperate than the Thompson Okanagan summers. The growing conditions are ideal and the region, with a population of 60,000, is two and a half times the size of Prince Edward Island. Agriculturally rich, the Shuswap boasts over 600 farms, or one for every 100 residents, and shares the four arms of Shuswap Lake that has over 1,000 kilometres of shoreline. Nestled between the valleys, hills and mountains, the Shuswap features almost as many hiking, cycling and skiing trails as the lakeshore itself.
