About
Fromagerie La Station is a family-run business that has been involved in agriculture, agri-food and tourism for many years. For four generations, men and women have turned this land over in search of mastery of a know-how that, for the past 18 years, has been embodied in a cheese diary farmhouse.
From the soil to the plate, this family-run cheese dairy is involved in every stage of processing its organic farmhouse cheeses, which are recognized throughout Québec. La Station stands out for its deep attachment to the land, to the well-being of its animals, to farming practices that respect the environment and the rhythms of nature, and to the love of a job well done. His certified organic farmhouse cheese, made from the milk of his herd of cows, carries the aromas of his region. Inside there are reception areas, a view of the maturing room, multimedia, a multi-sensory immersive experience in a cheese aging room and a "scent organ", which allows visitors to discover the daily life of this passionate family. ECONOMUSEUM® of farmhouse cheese production, the company holds the Fromage fermier appellation contrôlée authorization. Farmhouse cheese is made by a cheesemaker using traditional techniques, with milk sourced exclusively from his or her own farm. It is the first Quebec appellation authorized by the Conseil des appellations réservées et des termes valorisants (CARTV).
