About

Mādahòkì Farm (meaning “share the land”), is home to seasonal Indigenous experiences and events, and Indigenous Marketplace, Summer Solstice Festival, a growing herd of endangered Ojibway Spirit Horses and so much more. This space provides a learning opportunity for visitors and changes for reconciliation for all.

Located in Ottawa’s Greenbelt, Mādahòkì Farm works in the agritourism and farm-to-table culinary space to provide “authentic cultural experiences from an Indigenous perspective”.

With a year-round marketplace that highlights the art of several Indigenous artists and makers as well as experiences inspired by the season, there is always a new reason to visit.

Visits here do not need to be pre-booked as you walk the legacy trail and leave a message of Reconciliation, visit the marketplace and just enjoy the wide open space. Children will enjoy the play area complete with hay bales, a teeter-totter and lots of spots to just run around and enjoy childhood! Coming in the winter? You can also rent some snowshoes!

Indigenous Experiences are also a big part of what happens at the farm and can be pre-booked through the website. Think everything from traditional tea and Bannock by the fire to make and take workshops, medicine walks and so much more. On-site catering is available for groups and so many possibilities to learn and engage with Ontario’s many Indigenous cultures.
