A hip shop with exposed brick walls and an always buzzing espresso machine. The baristas have some impressive creations up their sleeves, including The Root Beer Godfather, a chilled concoction made up of local Hell’s Basement Brewery’s root beer, two shots of espresso, and a little bit of cream. Treats are complemented by friendly conversations and authentic laughter, while the sun shines in between the wooden window sills. Recently, the owner Jake removed a wall and found two original archways made of original brick — the building was constructed in 1905. The seating area has doubled, and the character of the building continues to flourish. With a larger space brings more baking, elevating their dessert display case with cream-filled croissants, decorated cheesecakes, and so much more. And if your mouth is watering reading about the baked goods, Medicine Hat has a Downtown Bakery Tour that features six bakeries all within distance of one another. The sweet experience doesn’t stop at Station Coffee Company, but it should definitely be a stop during your visit.
