About

The Bee Spot, a family-operated business located in Tamworth, Ontario, originated from a decade-long hobby that transformed into a thriving venture. Prioritizing pollinator health, they cultivated twenty-five acres of native perennials to foster an optimal habitat for bees, attracting diverse pollinators like butterflies, leaf cutters, and bumblebees.

Initially vending honey and candles at local markets, their interaction with patrons sparked an ardent interest in disseminating knowledge about bee well-being. In 2018, they introduced farm tours (bee experiences) and joined Airbnb experiences, providing an intimate introduction to bees, enhancing community engagement, and stimulating curiosity about pollinator health.

Amidst growth, 2023 marked pivotal expansion. They repurposed a barn into a farmgate, supplying beekeeping equipment and offering courses, becoming a local hub for beekeepers. Acquiring certification to sell bees and queens in July further cemented their commitment to supporting beekeeping needs. Eagerly anticipating 2024, they aim to introduce NUCs, queens, and hives, catering comprehensively to beekeepers' seasonal demands.

Their mission centers on propagating the pivotal role of bees while fostering a collaborative network among beekeepers. Aspiring to be a renowned bee breeder, educator, and producer of superior bee products, they prioritize customer relationships, diligent planning, environmental stewardship, and ongoing education.

Emphasizing practical beekeeping, environmental preservation, and product quality, The Bee Spot remains committed to customer satisfaction, nature observation, and expressing gratitude for ongoing support.
