About

Thrive Tours, based in Sault Ste. Marie, offers authentic, guided Indigenous eco-cultural experiences in the heart of Northern Ontario. With a deep commitment to sustainability and respect for the land, Thrive Tours is led by Brad Robinson, a member of Oneida First Nation of the Thame First Nations, and his wife, Amanda Cora, an ally and mother to Indigenous children, who share their rich heritage, traditions, and stories with visitors. The tours, which include activities such as hiking, paddling, snowshoeing, and cultural workshops, are designed to immerse participants in the natural beauty of the area while fostering a deeper connection to the land and the Indigenous peoples who have stewarded it for generations. Guests also have the opportunity to enjoy food cooked over an open fire, celebrating traditional Indigenous ingredients that have been harvested from the surrounding land and water. Each experience is carefully crafted to provide an understanding of Indigenous knowledge systems, teachings, and sustainable practices, ensuring a meaningful and transformative journey for every participant.

Thrive Tours places a strong emphasis on community and environmental stewardship, working closely with local Indigenous communities to create authentic, inclusive, and respectful experiences. The tours are not only an opportunity for visitors to explore the breathtaking landscapes of Sault Ste. Marie but also to learn about the region's rich cultural history from those who know it best. By integrating traditional knowledge with contemporary eco-tourism practices, Thrive Tours provides a unique platform for cultural exchange and mutual understanding. The inclusion of traditional food prepared over the fire enriches the experience, allowing guests to savor flavors that have been part of Indigenous culture for centuries. This approach empowers both visitors and local communities to connect in a way that honors the past and looks forward to a sustainable future.
