Wilensky

When people walk into Wilensky’s for the first time, they might think they have stepped into a time-warp. Not much has changed since it opened in 1932. Many regulars remember Moe Wilensky, his wife Ruth, and their son Bernard. Nowadays son Asher and daughter Sharon along with Asher’s daughter Alisa, and long-time employees Scott and Paul are there to welcome you and take your order. Famous for our “Wilensky's Special®”. Invented by Moe Wilensky, it is a sandwich with all-beef salami and all-beef baloney grilled on a tasty roll with a hint of mustard.

Wilensky have all-beef hot dogs served open-face on either the top or bottom of an onion roll, and chopped egg, or cheese sandwiches which are made on yummy rolls, too.

The old-fashioned soda fountain serves up our home-made cherry-cola, cola, pineapple, root beer, cream soda, and even chocolate. The place also have a selection of diet drinks, milkshakes and egg cream sodas. Have a pickle and karnatzel on the side.

Wilensky also have rules! believe in fast service and everyone being treated equally. That’s why there’s no tipping. Any change that a customer leaves is donated. What else? Read below!
